What exactly is physical bullying?

Physical bullying is a form of constant physical harassment where there is someone ‘weaker’ (the victim) and someone ‘stronger’ (the bully). It is easy to spot in public because of the obvious behaviours. This type of bullying includes frequently kicking, punching, pushing, hitting, slapping, choking, poking, pinching and destroying or stealing another’s personal belongings. The bully usually has a ‘win-lose’ mentality and always makes sure to be the winner by lowering his victim’s self-esteem by intentionally terrorizing him by threatening to hurt him. This type of bullying can scar the victim forever physically and emotionally. Physical bullying is more likely to be seen between boys, but it isn’t absent between girls. This type of bullying can be spotted at a young age for boys when they’re ‘play-fighting’, but mostly at older ages in high school. This type of bullying can also have an important impact on the bystanders who are sometimes there to witness it.
